Sharon 'Kay' Philpott

Sharon Kay (Hill) Philpott, 74, of Muskogee, was born March 15, 1949 to J.D. Hill and Mary Lou (Clark) Martin in Haskell, OK and peacefully passed away Sunday, October 22, 2023 in Muskogee with her loving family by her bedside. Sharon worked as a Nurse Aid for several years and her love for her patients was evident in everything she did to care for them. She enjoyed diving into a good book. Sharon was always up for a challenge putting challenging puzzles together, and could also be found watching movies. Her greatest passion was spending time with her family, and she will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Sharon is preceded in death by her parents, J.D. Hill and Mary Lou (Clark) Martin; sons, Roger Dale Best and Mark Allen Hill; grandson, Hayden Michael Harris; and brother, Kenneth Leon Martin. She is lovingly survived by her son, Darrell Harris and wife Sherry of Tulsa, OK; granddaughters, Olyvia Hill and Hunter Corbino of Tahlequah, OK; Hannah Hill of Fort Gibson, OK; Bailey McGuire of Tulsa, OK; Amelia Brown and husband Ted of Arkansas; grandsons, Parker Harris of Muskogee, OK; Brannon McGuire of Tulsa, OK; Roger Dale Best, Jr. of Porum, OK; Christian Best of Porum, OK; great-grandson, Axel Morris of Fort Gibson, OK; great-granddaughters, Heidi Morris of Fort Gibson, OK; Teagen Brown, Tearyn Brown, and Theodora Brown, all of Arkansas; sister, Connie Buckner and husband Andrew of Muskogee, OK; brothers, Darren Eugene Martin of Sayer, OK and Jimmie Dale Wheat and wife Charlene of Muskogee, OK; extended family and many friends. A visitation for Sharon with the family greeting friends will be 5PM-7PM, Friday, October 27, 2023 at Clifford D Garrett Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 1020 West Okmulgee Avenue, Muskogee, OK. A celebration of Sharon’s life will be 10AM, Saturday, October 28, 2023 at Clifford D Garrett Family Funeral Home Chapel in Muskogee with Brother Zach Vickrey officiating.
