Bob Lee Moydell

Bobby Lee Moydell, 90, of Muskogee, was born March 28, 1933, in Fort Gibson to Frank Claude and Annis Sarah (Raines) Moydell, and peacefully passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at his home with his loving family at his bedside. He received his education and graduated from El Camino High School in Sacramento, California. Bob proudly enlisted in the United States Navy on December 2, 1952, and was honorably discharged on March 31, 1959. On August 31, 1957, he married his best friend, Martha Ahrens, in Reno, Nevada. Bob and Martha shared more than 65 years making precious memories together. He worked as an Aerial Photographer for McClellan Air Force Base in California. Bob loved working outside on his property. He excelled at golfing, with 13 holes-in-one confirmed, and was invited to play in the Pan Am Hawaiian Open in the 1960s. Bob was extremely devoted to his family, and had unconditional love as a husband and father. He was very giving to others, always wanting to help anyone who was in need. Bob was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Muskogee. He was loved dearly and will be missed by many. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Claude and Annis Sarah Moydell; brother, Dick Moydell; and sister, Louise Hardin. Those left to cherish Bob’s memories are his wife, Martha, of the home; brother, Tom Moydell and wife, Lucille of Fort Gibson; sister, Carol Martinez and husband, Marty of Carmichael, CA; sons, Mark Moydell and wife, Beverly of Muskogee, OK; Kurt Moydell and wife, Traci of Parker, CO; Gary Moydell and wife, Lisa of Porum, OK; Gregg Moydell and wife, Karen of Fort Gibson, OK; daughter, Marci Sledge and husband, Craig of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, Joshua Moydell of Fort Gibson, OK; Melodi McCarver of Broken Arrow, OK; Zachary Moydell of Hurley, SD; Austin Moydell of Parker, CO; MiKinzie Taylor of Steamboat Springs, CO; Ahren Moydell of Denver, CO; Landri Moydell and Sullivan Moydell, both of Fort Gibson, OK; six great-grandchildren, extended family and countless friends. A celebration of Bob’s life will be 10AM, Friday, June 16, 2023 at Fort Gibson National Cemetery, Fort Gibson, OK. Full military honors will be observed.
