Daisy Gordon Jody

Daisy Gordon (Crawford) Jody, 91, was born November 2, 1925 in Carthage, Kentucky to George and Daisy (Mays) Crawford and passed away peacefully Sunday, September 10, 2017 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Daisy lived in Carthage and South Gate Kentucky until her family moved to London, Kentucky where she graduated from high school. She met and married the love of her life, Granville Jody. After WWII, they moved to Galena Park, Texas. Daisy worked for Champion Paper Company as a Title Paper Counter from 1951-1960. From 1965 to 1969 she worked as an Apartment/Property Manager for Dawson Properties. She was also Manager at Alaskan Women’s Ready to Wear and then in 1984 Daisy went to work for Bush International Airport as a Traffic Control Agent for 10 years. After the death of her husband Granville, and her retirement, she moved to Muskogee to be near her family. Miss Daisy, loved to cook and bake making unusual cakes that were all so delicious. Her pound cakes were to be admired and eaten with the love she made them with. She loved flowers and had beautiful flower gardens. She could make anything grow and did, it was her passion. She was always a hard-working woman and she loved her family and loved living life. Daisy is preceded in death by her husband, Granville, her parents and a brother, George Crawford and sister in law, Liz Crawford. Daisy is survived by her children; son, Granville Jody and wife Linda of Surfside Beach, Texas; daughter, Charlotte Cameron and husband Jim of Muskogee, OK; grandchildren, Terrell Cameron and wife Anita of Gore, OK, Jennifer Crenshaw and husband Jack of Checotah, OK, Neil Jody of Houston, TX, Kimberly Cuello and husband Brian of League City, TX; great grandchildren, Allison Thomas, James Tippie, Derek Bridgman, Krista Cameron, Kelsey Cameron, Caymbria Cuello, Mekhi Cuello; great great-grandchildren, Emelia Jane, Hallie Kate and Delainee Gayle; brother, Ed Crawford and wife Pauline of Mechanicsville, VA, Tom Crawford and wife Reba of Carrolton, GA, Ray Crawford of Sunset, SC; sister, Martha Christian and partner Marge Kingdon of Gerrardstown, WV and numerous nieces and nephews and many friends. Funeral services for Daisy will be held 10:00AM Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at Clifford D Garrett Family Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Gibson, OK with James Terrell Cameron Jr officiating. Committal prayers and interment will follow at South Bethel Cemetery in Braggs, OK with family members serving as casket bearers.
