Debra Lynn 'Debbie' Pierce

Debbie Lynn Pierce, 67, of Muskogee, OK was born May 5, 1957 to Howard and Reta Tidwell and peacefully passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2024 in Fort Gibson, OK. Debbie was raised in Muskogee, OK. She attended school, graduating with the class of 1975. She had a love for Christ and grew up at Fairview Baptist Church. She had a beautiful voice and was a gifted pianist. She shared her love of Christ through music, where she sang and played the piano for over 40 years. She married her best friend Jimmy on April 9, 1976 and they lived a love story that most only dream of. She enjoyed a career as a Patient Account Representative at Muskogee Regional for over 30 years. She enjoyed scrapbooking and floral arrangements, always paying attention to the smallest details. She knew the importance of a hand-written note that she paired with homemade sugar cookies to brighten someone’s day. A true animal lover, she was rarely without a dog companion. She never missed a dance recital, band concert, or a softball game; she looked forward to road trips to see the St. Louis Cardinals play. While she had many passions, her biggest joy was being a wife and a mama to her two girls. She loved them fiercely and leaves behind a legacy of devotion, loyalty, and love. She is preceded in death by her daddy and mama, and by her grandson Ketcher. She is lovingly survived by her husband, Jimmy of the home; her daughters, Joanie Pierce and Christie Smith both of Muskogee, OK; brother and sister-in-law, Doug and LeeAnn Tidwell of Coweta, OK; brother-in-law, Mike Pierce of Braggs, OK; brother-in-law, Mark Pierce of Braggs, OK; nephew and wife, Dusty Tidwell and Autumn Kirkpatrick and their children Ben, Khayden, and Gage all of Muskogee, OK; niece and husband, Whitney and Andrew Mealer and their children, Caiden and Bryce all of Coweta, OK; nephew, Patrick Pierce of Braggs, OK; niece and husband, Baylie and Sgt Austyn Crain and their son Austin “Bubby” Crain of Eliot, Maine; cousins, Betty Wilkinson and Linda Sue Frederick both of Muskogee, OK; cherished family friend, Sherman Phillips; beloved caregiver Jenny Turner; her church family and countless friends. A celebration of life will be Friday, July 19, 2024 at 2:00PM at Fairview Baptist Church in Muskogee, OK with Reverend Mike Hart and Bobby Morgan officiating. Committal prayers and inurnment will follow in South Bethel Cemetery in Braggs, OK.
