George C Schwarz

George Clinton Schwarz, 68, of Muskogee, Oklahoma passed away Saturday, April 4, 2015 in Oklahoma City after a year and half battle with his health, with his loving family by his side. George was born to Gordon Henry Schwarz and Elinor Ruth (Holliman) Schwarz on January 25, 1947 in Kerrville, Texas. They resided in Kerrville for several years before moving to California and eventually making their way to Kiowa, Oklahoma where he graduated from Kiowa High School and met the love of his life, Pamela Harrington Schwarz. They were married on June 12, 1967 in a quaint Catholic Church in Pittsburgh, Oklahoma. George attended Eastern Oklahoma State College in Wilburton, Oklahoma and received an associate degree in Technical Engineering and continued his education at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma graduating with a degree in Electrical Engineering. In May of 1972, George, his wife Pam, his brother Tony and his wife Wanda started a small concrete business called Twin Cities Ready Mix in Haileyville, Oklahoma. The business has become incorporated and grown to eight plants all over Eastern Oklahoma. George was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Muskogee, Oklahoma. His faith was extremely important to him and he rarely missed Mass until he became too ill to attend regularly. As a family, they enjoyed many activities such as golf, riding ATV’s, going to the lake, but his greatest source of entertainment was watching his daughter Jacqueline and his son Tyler as they participated in various sports. George leaves behind to love and cherish his memory, his wife; Pamela of the home, daughter; Jacqueline of New York City, son; Tyler, his wife Lauren and their first grandson, Hunter of Tulsa, Oklahoma, his father; Gordon of McAlester, Oklahoma, his brother; Tony and wife Wanda of McAlester, Oklahoma, their three sons, Chris, John and Joey and their loving families, a sister; Karen Stobaugh and husband Bob, and their two sons, Douglas and Dylan, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and a host of friends. We as a family will always love and miss him. George had a strong personality and his presence in a room was undeniable. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Catholic Charities in George’s name. A Rosary will be held at 7:00 PM, Thursday, April 9, 2015, at Clifford D Garrett Family Funeral Home in Fort Gibson. A Funeral Mass will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, April 10, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Muskogee, Oklahoma with Father Mike Knipe presiding. Interment and committal prayers will follow at 2:00 PM in the Memory Gardens Cemetery in McAlester, Oklahoma with Chris Schwarz, John Schwarz, Joey Schwarz, Matthew Schwarz, Douglas Stobaugh, Dylan Stobaugh, Bradley Hamilton and Billy Lee Hamilton serving as pallbearers.
