Gerald Walton Moore

Gerald Walton Moore, 78, of Wagoner, OK was born in Kansas City, MO to Gerald Raymond and Joan Walton (Hitchins) Moore and peacefully passed away Saturday, August 24, 2024, at his home with his family by his bedside. Gerald was born in Kansas City, but lived all over the world in his youth, due to his father’s military service. He moved nearly every year. Some of the places Gerald lived included Scotland, Alaska, Key West, San Diego, and Panama. He graduated high school from Balboa High School in the country of Panama in South America. Gerald married his best friend and the love of his life, Mary Jean Berry in 1969 in Miami, OK. He joined the United States Marine Corp receiving a National Defense Service Medal and M-14 Rifle Marksman Badge. He was honorably discharged as a Corporal from Camp Lejeune, NC on February 24, 1968. Gerald started his career with Walmart in 1978 and quickly became Store Manager. He retired in 2014 after a 46-year career. He enjoyed fishing and was a faithful member at his church, New Community in Muskogee. His passion was his family, especially his grandchildren. Gerald loved attending his grandchildren’s sporting events and spending quality time with them. His legacy of loyalty, devotion, and unconditional love will live on through his family. He will be missed by many. Gerald was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald Raymond Moore and Joan Walton Moore. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife Mary of the home; son, Jerry (Gerald) Moore of Oklahoma; daughter, Jennifer Yeargain and husband Nathan of Rogers, AR; grandchildren, Hayden, Hudson and Madeline Yeargain all of Rogers, AR; his sister, Joy Burgess of Chouteau, OK; nieces and nephews, Mark Wilkins and Brian Wilkins both of Florida; J.C. Boyce and family of Wichita, KS; Becky Bowlin and family of Springdale, AR; Lynn Byrd and family of Springdale, AR; and Kim Henderson of Missouri.
