Glen H. Elliott

Glen Harold Elliott, age 63, left this world on July 1, 2023. Glen is preceded in death by his father, Donald Elliott of Concord, California; his mother and step father, Helen and Jack Day of Pawnee, Oklahoma; his son, Matthew Elliott of Fort Gibson, Oklahoma; his infant brother, David of Concord; and his brother-in-law, Dennis Southern of Pawnee. He is survived by his wife of forty years, Robin; son, Kristopher Elliott and wife Cheyenne of Tulsa, Oklahoma; daughter, Rachel Archer and husband Colton of Fort Gibson; step-mother, Shirley Elliott of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; sister, Jody Southern of Pawnee; brother, Kenneth Elliott of Tahlequah; brother, Benjamin Elliott and wife Dawn of Tahlequah; brother, Jack Day Jr. and wife Melissa of Okay, Oklahoma; and sister Mayme Day of Stillwater, Oklahoma; along with grandchildren Carter, Jonathan and Juliet Archer and Indie Elliott, numerous nieces and nephews and various others who are considered adopted into the family. Glen was born on February 8, 1960, in Concord, California, to Donald Robert Elliott and Helen Frances Calkins. Don and Helen had five children, losing the oldest son David in childbirth, leaving Jody, Ken, Glen, and Ben. Helen later married Jack Day, and gave birth to Mayme and Jack, Jr. Glen knew from a young age that he would go to college and one day own his own business and that is exactly what he did. He attended Oklahoma State University where he graduated with a Petroleum Engineering Technology degree. There he met the love of his life, Robin Riddle, and they were married in 1983. They spent sixteen years in Sugar Land, Texas where their three children, Matthew, Kristopher and Rachel were born. Glen worked in the North Sea, the Bering Sea, the Gulf of Mexico…then became a project manager for a new home builder until the day came that he could finally buy his own business. He made the move back to Oklahoma in 1999 and became a small business owner. He loved working in the community and especially in the church. He had a passion for God and for people. People who worked for him and with him. People who gave of themselves to go out and preach the gospel to others in a foreign land. People who needed a helping hand or a second chance. People who were hurting. His wife. His children. His grandkids. His family. His church family. His friends. His pets who were like children to him. Strays who became his pets. The man had a heart of gold. Glen lived an amazing life and we are all better for having known him. Funeral services for Glen are scheduled for 11AM Thursday, July 6, 2023 at Fort Gibson Church of Christ with Minister Dan Rouse officiating. Colton Archer, Jack Day, Jr., Benjamin Elliott, Kenneth Elliott, Kristopher Elliott, and Robert Maxwell will serve as casket bearers. Honorary casket bearers are Drake Elliott, Nicholas Elliott, Trent Elliott, Cole Elliott, Joshua Day, Jordan Day, Alex Larson, Jerry Greenwood, Robert Riddle, Ross Riddle, Bill Norton, Justin Tillison, Barrett Vanlandingham, Kelly Childers, and Kerry Owen. Committal prayers and interment will follow in Citizens Cemetery in Fort Gibson.
