Glen H Harvey

Glen Howard Harvey, 74, of Muskogee, was born February 14, 1950 in Whitewright, TX to Ira Harvey and Buelah Burrow and peacefully passed away Monday, April 1, 2024 at his home with his loving family by his side. He received his education at Van Alstine, Texas and Muskogee Central High School and continued his education at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, OK. On July 31, 1969, he enlisted in the United States Army and was honorably discharged on January 31, 1972 in Fort Hood, TX with a rank of E4. He was a member of the American Legion Post 15 and the VFW Post 474. Glen married the love of his life, Mildred Maxine Barrett on June 10, 1998. Together they shared 25 years, 9 months and 22 days making precious memories. He worked as a laboratory technologist with the Jack C Montgomery Veterans Hospital for 25 years. In his spare time, Glen enjoyed fishing, woodworking and working out in the shop with Mildred upholstering furniture. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his mother, Buelah Faye (Burrow) Allred; sister, Bonnie Blythe; brothers, Boyd Lee Burrow and Alton Allred; son, Ricky Hawley; and daughter, Glenda Hilton. Glen is lovingly survived by his wife, Mildred Harvey of the home; daughters, Tammy Fuller and husband, Bryan, Tiffany Lockwood and husband, Robert; step-sons, Raymond Durossette and wife, Christina and Donnie Durossette and wife, Ann; step-daughters, Tammy Bailey and husband, David, and Tina Jones and husband, Chris; brother, Alfred Allred and wife, Linda; very special nieces, Teresa Wagoner and Joyce Shrum; his loving grandchildren, extended family and many friends. A visitation will be held Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at Clifford D Garrett Family Funeral Home and Crematory in Muskogee with the family receiving friends from 5PM-7PM. A Celebration of Glen’s life is scheduled for 9:30AM Thursday, April 4, 2024 at Clifford D Garrett Family Funeral Home Chapel in Muskogee with Chaplain Lisa Sowers officiating. Committal service and prayers will follow at Fort Gibson National Cemetery will full military honors. Casket bearers are Bryan Fuller, David Sinyard, Donnie Templeton, Chris Jones, Robert Lockwood and Alfred Allred. Honorary casket bearers are Gary Cooper, Steve Hilton. David Bailey, Raymond Durossette, Cecil Hale, Keegan Harvey, Lathan Lockwood, Chrisean Jones and John Szalay.
