Hugh Edward Eubanks

Hugh Edward Eubanks, 60, of Muskogee, was born August 14, 1965, in Muskogee to Peck and Louise (Staton) Eubanks and passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2025. Hugh graduated from Fort Gibson High School in 1983 where he was actively involved in FFA and enjoyed showing hogs. After high school, he worked at Hilltop Arena and the Tulsa Stockyards. In 1985, he began working for Rainbow Farms Inc. where he met the love of his life, Cherie Roberts. They were married on March 27, 1987, and in 1990, were blessed with a beautiful daughter, Leah. From 1987 to 1997, Hugh faithfully served as a Sunday School teacher, youth group leader, and Royal Rangers commander at Elm Grove Assembly of God, positively impacting many young lives. Hugh joined the Muskogee County Sheriff’s Patrol in 1997 and was promoted to corporal deputy in 1999. After the sale of the farm in 2001, he transitioned into a career as a millwright, traveling across all 48 contiguous states. Cherie and Leah often joined him on job site locations, turning work into cherished family adventures. His final employment was with Interface Electric Inc. Hugh was known for his generous spirit and willingness to help anyone in need. He made a lasting impact on everyone he met and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He is lovingly survived by his wife, Cherie Eubanks of the home; daughter, Leah Brownell and husband, Cade of Fort Gibson; aunts and uncles, Geneva and husband, John Eaton of Muskogee, Vickie Staton of Muskogee, Ronnie Eubanks and wife, Karen of Pearland, TX, Mike Curry of Schulenberg, TX; sister-in-law, Marshea Halterman of Muskogee; brothers-in-law, David Roberts and wife, Trisa of Porum, Tommy Roberts of Muskogee, and Tony Burress of Muskogee; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many friends. Hugh was preceded in death by his parents, Peck and Louise Eubanks; sister, Marlene Burress; father-in-law, Edsel Roberts; and mother-in-law, Jayne Roberts. A celebration of Hugh’s life will be 2PM Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at First Baptist Church in Fort Gibson with Reverend Logan Lambert and Reverend Cyrus Spears officiating. Kelly Staton, Brian Gorman, Andy Chapin, Bentley McDonald, Greg Perry, Nate Pageler and Dan Lindsey will serve as honorary urn bearers.
