Jarreldine 'Jerry' Langton

Jarreldine ‘Jerry’ Langton, 81, of Fort Gibson, was born February 23, 1943, in Muskogee to Jarrel and Hazel (Rhynes) Isom and passed away Sunday, March 10, 2024, in Muskogee with her family by her bedside. Jerry received her education and graduated from Fort Gibson High School. She met and later married the love of her life, Joe William ‘JW’ Langton, on August 25, 1962. She worked as an insurance collector, working for the Children’s Clinic, Dr. Fullenwider and Dr. Pentecost offices. She was a Fort Gibson resident for the last 52 years. Jerry attended the First Baptist Church in Muskogee. Jerry loved spending time with her family and loving on her grandchildren, making many precious memories with them. She enjoyed going out to eat and getting coffee, working, planting flowers in her flower beds, and watching the beautiful birds in her yard. When it was time to come indoors, she enjoyed watching the Food Network. She will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jarrel and Hazel Isom; husband, J.W. Langton; son-in-law, Eric Petty; sister-in-law, Kathleen Langton; brother-in-law, Harold Brannon; nephew, Kevin Brannon; in-laws, Joe and Agatha Langton. Jerry is lovingly survived by her daughters, Shanna Bandy and husband, David, of Coweta and Kimberly Gingrich and husband, Sean, of Fort Gibson; sisters, Virginia O’Laughlin and husband, Tom, of Fort Gibson and Katy Burns and husband, Ron, of Muskogee; granddaughters, Kelsea Bandy of Coweta, Hayley Bandy of Wagoner, and Bailey Gingrich of Manford; grandson, Colton Petty and wife, Lauren, of Broken Arrow; great-granddaughters, Adelynn and Carrigan Petty of Broken Arrow; great-grandson, Eric Petty of Broken Arrow; sister-in-law, JoAnn Brannon of Fort Gibson; niece, Molly Burns; nephews, Doug Brannon and wife, Beth, Kevin O’Laughlin and wife, Meg, and Billy Blakesee and wife, Kristen; extended family and many friends. Viewing for Jerry will be 1PM-7PM Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at Clifford D Garrett Family Funeral Home in Fort Gibson. A celebration of Jerry’s life will be 2:00PM Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at Citizens Cemetery Pavilion in Fort Gibson with Brother Eddie Moore officiating. Sean Gingrich, David Bandy, Colton Petty, Tommy O’Laughlin, Kevin O’Laughlin, and Doug Brannon will serve as casket bearers. Tom O’Laughlin and Rusty Huff will serve as honorary casket bearers.
