Jeffrey Sean Stacy

Jeffrey Sean Stacy passed away on Monday, February 5th. Even though Jeff’s failing health took him away from this world, his loving heart leaves memories for all who knew him to cherish. Jeff was born November 24th, 1969 in Muskogee, Oklahoma and resided there his entire life. He attended Muskogee High School from 1985-1987 and was loved by his classmates for his good nature and sense of humor. Jeff worked as a fence builder for many years with the family-owned business. He once opened a pool hall and arcade in the nineties for teenagers to get off the streets and have some fun. But most people know Jeff from his many years at Runts Barbecue. He would always come out from the kitchen and say hello to frequent patrons and his many friends. One of the favorite parts of his job was cooking a special Thanksgiving Dinner for the less fortunate of his community. Due to debilitating health issues, Jeff was finally forced to retire. Jeff loved to go pond fishing for bass, he could sit for hours because he loved taking in the beauty of nature. He enjoyed listening to music; and country music was on the top of his list. As a young man he also loved riding motorcycles… and the faster the better! Jeff played competitive baseball and excelled as a catcher. Another passion of Jeff’s was shopping for antiques, or as he called it “going junkin.” He always found victory in a great bargain. As illness limited his outings, Jeff was always amused by the History Channel and his favorite show, American Pickers. He became quite a history buff. Jeff had a playful sense of humor… just ask anyone who has met him. Making people laugh was easy for him. He was a generous and kind soul and always took up for the underdog. We’re pretty sure he gave the shirt off his back to many because it seemed he was always out of shirts. Most of all, Jeff loved his family. He was extremely close to his mom, along with his older brother and sister so much! But his greatest love was for his son Hayden. Jeff is preceded in death by grandfather, Clyde Stacy; grandmother, Faye Maybell Mann; grandfather, Homer Harrison Stacy; grandmother, Mary Rizzi; grandfather, Pasquale Rizzi. Jeff is lovingly survived by his mother, Evelyn Schiavi of Muskogee; son, Hayden Stacy of Muskogee; sister, Lori Bartel of Broken Arrow; brother, Mark Stacy of Muskogee; nieces, Angie Stacy, and Allyson Kelley both of Broken Arrow; nephews, Mark Stacy Jr, of Jenks, and Austin Stacy of Muskogee; great niece, Emily Payton of Muskogee; extended family and many friends. A Celebration of Jeff’s Life will be 10AM Friday, February 16, 2024 at Clifford D Garrett Family Funeral Home Chapel, Muskogee.
