June Ann Drake

June Ann Drake, 61, of Tulsa was born September 10, 1957 in Muskogee, OK to Harold Dean McMillin and Betty Mae Igert and passed away Tuesday, February 12, 2019 in Tulsa, OK. June was also known as “June Ann” or “June Bug” to her family and friends. Her first job was at the age of 17 at Lerner’s Dress Shop in Tulsa, OK. She then went to work for Safeway where she worked in the Floral Department and soon became manager and worked there for many years. Later she went to work for Crossmark (grocery broker) and worked there for more than 15 years until her health declined. Her greatest blessings were her family. She always took time to make things extra special for birthdays and holidays and always kept in contact with everyone. June was very proud of her son, Daniel, and always bragged on his accomplishments. Her grandbabies were the light of her life and she took great pride in them and loved to spoil them. June and Kaitlin were best buddies. June was a loving daughter and caring sister and treasured all the memories she shared with her family and friends including her aunts and uncles. She enjoyed crafting, working with flowers and she could make anything beautiful. She loved decorating her house for every holiday, collecting her “Boyd Bears”, and spoiling her cat. June loved her family and friends with a deep and compassionate love. She was preceded in death by her father; Harold “Mac” McMillin; stepmom, Ruth McMillin and stepdad, Herschel “Jake” Arney. She is survived by her son; Daniel Luke Dill and fiancé Kari Alspaugh; mother, Betty Mae Igert Arney; sisters, Kathy Lynn White and husband Steve, Paula Hankins and husband Kenny, Sharon Thorpe, Debbie Arney, Janie Sweet and husband Harvey and Teresa Medici and husband Carlo; brothers, Phillip Wayne Arney, John Paul Arney and wife Holly, Kenny “Butch” Dunlap and Tommy Worth; grandchildren, Kaitlin Powell, Gauge Dill, Dominic Dill and Isabella Dill; extended family and many friends. A memorial service will be held Noon, Friday, February 22, 2019 at Crescent Valley Baptist Church, Tahlequah, OK with Pastor Chadd Pendergraft officiating. Bub Rowan, David Igert, Mickey Igert, Fred Igert, Carl Igert, Robert Igert, John Arney II, Hunter White, Dakotah Arney and Dallas Arney serving as honorary urn bearers. The family would like to invite extended family members and friends to join them for food and fellowship immediately following June’s service in the Fellowship Center.
