Linda Kathleen Holt “Kathy,” 61, of Warner, OK was born July 11, 1962 in Stigler, OK to Gary Bluford and Margaret Ann (Miller) Holt and peacefully passed away Sunday, July 16, 2023 with her loving family by her side. Kathy grew up in Warner where she graduated High School. After High School, Kathy attended Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, OK receiving her Bachelor’s Degree in Business. She retired in 2013 from the Department of Veteran’s Affairs after eight years. Kathy was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Warner. Always willing to talk politics with anyone and always ready for a road trip to Branson, Kayaking and photography were two of Kathy’s favorite hobbies. She was a wiz at puzzles, card games and enjoyed reading poetry. Kathy’s passion was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Kathy is lovingly survived by her daughter, Cecilee Denton and husband Matthew of Fort Gibson; mother, Margaret Moore and step father John of Fort Gibson; sister, Marietta Brooks and husband Tommy of Sanger, TX; grandson, Carson Ashby and granddaughter, Annie Denton both of Fort Gibson; half-brothers, Jason Holt of Tulsa and Brandon Holt of Ponca City; extended family, and many friends. Kathy is preceded in death by her father, Gary Holt; grandfather, Bluford Holt; grandmother, June Holt; grandmother, Margaret Miller; and grandfather, Herman Miller. Viewing will be held noon-7PM with family receiving friends, 5PM-7PM on Thursday, July 20, 2023 at Clifford D Garrett Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 1020 W. Okmulgee Ave, Muskogee, OK 74401. Kathy’s celebration of life will be held 1:30PM Friday, July 21, 2023 at Genesis Church with Pastor Sam Dunn officiating. Committal prayers and interment will follow in Fields Cemetery with Matt Denton, Brandon Holt, Brad Holt, Jason Holt, Carl Miller, and Paul McCrary serving as casket bearers.
