Lois Ann (Walker) Green

Lois Ann (Walker) Green, 67, was born November 25, 1946 in Muskogee, OK to John and Ida (Gallagher) Walker and peacefully passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2014 in Muskogee with her Family by her side. Lois grew up in the Muskogee area and attended Muskogee Schools. On September 14, 1967, Lois married the love of her life Jimmy Green in Wagoner, OK. and made their home in Fort Gibson. Lois worked outside the home a few years before her most important job of being a Mom. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing and reading and was known as having a green thumb, as evident by her beautiful garden every year. Lois was a “Jill of all trades”, willing to help Jim with any project around the house. Lois enjoyed taking care of others including her elderly friends and family. She was always able to help a friend in need. Those left to cherish her memory is her husband of 46 years Jimmy of the home, daughters; Kelli Boling and husband Clint of Muskogee, OK., Heather Bradham and husband Larry of Fort Gibson, OK., grandchildren; Garrett Johnson and wife Maria of Sallisaw, OK., Paige Johnson of Muskogee, OK., Tyler and Graci Bradham of Fort Gibson, OK., great-grandchildren Jeric, Zein, Gavin and Cade, a sister; Ida Lashley and husband Larry of Wagoner, OK., her best friend; Candy Cothern and husband Clyde of Fort Gibson, OK. She was preceded in death by her parents, son; Jacob Green, great-granddaughter Edyn Johnson, brother; Joe Walker, sisters; Pauline Walker, Shirley Leah Ledbetter, Viona Gray, Jackie Glover, Johna Lou Hise and Sylvia Walker and a special friend Dorothy King. A visitation will be held Friday, May 16, 2014 with the family receiving friends from 5PM-7PM at Clifford D Garrett Family Funeral Home in Fort Gibson. A celebration of Lois’ life will be held Saturday, May 17, 2014 at 10:00AM at the Fort Gibson Christian Church with Pastor Brian Hill officiating. Interment will follow at Greenhill Cemetery in Muskogee, OK with Kenneth Carrion, Clyde Cothern, Lloyd T. Green, Danny Quinton, Garrett Johnson and Tyler Bradham serving as casket bearers.
