Patricia Louisa 'Pat' Green

Patricia Louisa Green was born December 26, 1949 to Alma Linzy and Earl Cawvey, Sr. in Fort Gibson, Oklahoma. She went to be with Jesus on October 26, 2024 in Muskogee, Oklahoma surrounded by her friends and family. She attended Fort Gibson Public Schools, where she met her husband Bill Green, Sr. and together, they built a life they loved. Bill was the greatest part of her life. There was never just Bill or just Pat. It was always Bill and Pat…they were a package deal. They met when they were 14 and were married September 11, 1970. They recently celebrated 54 years of marriage—something most people only dream about. Their love was special and unconditional, and it stood the test of time. Their love was graceful, strong, and unwavering. Pat started working at the bank in Fort Gibson in 1977 and spent 42 years there before retiring in 2019. There was always a line to get into her office. Everyone wanted to talk to Pat, and she sure wanted to talk to them. Everyone knew she was one-of-a-kind and would help them with anything they needed. To know Pat was to know what it felt like to be loved wholly, with no conditions. She made everyone feel important and loved, no questions asked. Her hugs felt like home and her joyous spirit could make the loneliest person feel a glimmer of hope. She had the innate ability to heal your brokenness with a smile and an encouraging word. Some of her favorite activities were cooking, collecting knickknacks like her Boyd’s bears, saving every animal she could, riding in the Jeep with her forever best friend Bill, going ALL OUT for every single holiday, and serving those around her at the drop of a hat. She LOVED watching her kids, Morgan and Billy play ball. She traveled all over the state and lost her voice cheering for them on many different occasions. Nothing was more important to her than worshiping Jesus and spreading His love. Her faith was sacred and impenetrable. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Muskogee where she served in many positions. Her favorite was working in primary with the children. At any given time, you could find her singing a primary song and spreading joy. She lived her life to its full potential, loving The Lord and loving His people. She believed and always said that “families are for forever.” Her legacy as a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend is “for forever” too. She was preceded in death by her mom, Alma Linzy-Hinds and her dad, Earl Cawvey, Sr.; her step-mom, Anna Mae Cawvey; her sister, Martha Mathis; brothers, Reese Hinds, Jaybot Bias, and Jesse Davis; her aunt, Evelyn Cawvey, and her uncle, Marshall Cawvey; her mother-in-law, Vivian Green and father-in-law, Lloyd Truitt Green; her sister-in-law’s, Brenda Hinds and Rhonda Hinds; and niece, Jinny Hinds. She is survived by her husband, Billy Glen Green, Sr.; her son, Billy Green, Jr.; her grandchildren, Morgan Waters, David Waters, Payton Green, and Scout Sapulpa, all of Fort Gibson, Oklahoma; her great-grandchildren, Lane Kennedy Waters and Wrenley Louisa Waters; her siblings, Junior Cawvey and wife Kay, Shelly Harmon and husband Steve, Byran Radebaugh and wife Tammy, LeaAnn Schrader and husband Jimmy, Jerry Hinds and wife Betty, Mike Hinds, Sue Betts, and Mary Pfeifer; her in-laws, Ronnie Green and wife Jody, Elaine Quinton and husband Danny, Sue Crowder, Jimmy Green, and Lloyd Green; and ones that she held near and dear to her heart, Kevin Cawvey and his wife Mary, Justin Cawvey, Amanda Bell, Austin Cawvey, Amy Spears and husband Cyrus, Woodrow Spears, Prarie Spears, Brandy McManus and husband JD, Wyatt McManus, Brecken McManus, Tiffany Kaopio and husband Ethan, Landon McManus, Emerson McManus, Zayden McManus, Angie Ford and husband Derek, Austin Ford and wife Elizabeth, Levi Ford, Nico Ford, Carrie Morse and husband Mike, Nicole Arnett and husband Garrett, Cade Waltman, Bailee Harmon, Grant Cawvey, Jimmi Schrader, Jesika Schrader, Justice Schrader, along with many, many other family, friends, and coworkers that she loved as her own. A visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at Clifford D Garrett Family Funeral Home in Fort Gibson with her family receiving friends 5PM-7PM. Pat’s celebration of life service will be held 10AM Friday, November 1, 2024 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Muskogee with Brian Ellis officiating. Committal prayers and interment will follow in Citizens Cemetery in Fort Gibson with Brian Ellis, Steve Hinds, Chris Emler, Jason Briley, Scott Munson and Gary Perkins serving as casket bearers. Honorary casket bearers are Ronnie Green, Derek Ford, Kevin Cawvey and Justin Cawvey.
