Wayne Morris Boettcher

Wayne M. Boettcher, 68, of Muskogee, was born February 28, 1957 in Pittsburg, PA, to Ralph Boettcher and William and Donna May (Moser) Tracy, and entered eternal rest August 3, 2025, in Muskogee. Wayne was a dedicated and honorable man who proudly served his country as a member of the United States Air Force from February 6, 1976, to February 6, 1980. Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, he experienced a dynamic upbringing, moving frequently during his teenage years. After his military service, Wayne channeled his strong work ethic into various construction roles before completing his undergrad degree. He then went on to law school and practiced law, showcasing his determination and intelligence, while establishing roots in Muskogee, where he lived for approximately 30 years. His legacy of service, professionalism, and dedication to others will always be remembered. As a supervisor at the Department of Veterans Affairs, he passionately advocated for education benefits, reflecting his unwavering commitment to supporting fellow veterans. In addition to his impressive career, Wayne was a loving father, and an engaging and knowledgeable individual whose inquisitive mind kept him well-informed about national news and current events. His passion for learning was evident in his enjoyment of captivating nature documentaries that sparked his curiosity about the world. A lively conversationalist, Wayne loved discussing motorcycles, sharing his enthusiasm with anyone who would listen. He could effortlessly recite fascinating facts about movies and classic rock music, filling conversations with rich stories and lively anecdotes. Above all, his affectionate spirit shone through in his thoughtful gestures, as he frequently delighted in finding special things that his granddaughter might like, creating cherished moments that would forever warm their hearts. Wayne is now reunited with his parents, William Tracy and Donna May (Moser) Tracy. He is lovingly survived by his daughters, Audrey Boettcher of Muskogee, OK, and Sarah Boettcher of Broken Arrow, OK; and a sweet grand-daughter, Aliyah Lou Jean Ferrell of Broken Arrow, OK. Wayne’s life will be celebrated 10AM, Thursday, August 7, 2025, at Fort Gibson National Cemetery with full military honors being observed.
