Jess 'JC' Charles Crum

Jess ‘JC’ Charles Crum, 83, of Braggs, OK was born August 24, 1938, at (Boudinot Creek) in Braggs, OK to Jess Earl and Odie Retha (Mannon) Crum and peacefully entered Heaven’s Gates on Monday, April 11, 2022, in Tahlequah, OK with his loving family by his side. He received his formal education at Braggs Schools and continued his education, receiving his bachelor’s degree in accounting. Jess later married his best friend and the love of his life, Patricia Washington on March 10, 1956, in Stigler, OK. Together they spent 66 years, one month and one day making precious memories. Jess went to work for American Airlines as an accountant, retiring in 1993 after 38 years of service. He lived in several towns through his career, including Owasso, Tulsa, Catoosa, Muskogee, Gore and then retiring in Braggs. Jess had a love for God and was a licensed ordained Reverend for the Pentecostal Holiness Church, and also had ministry credentials for the Assembly of God. He enjoyed spending time reading his Bible, racing his grandchildren, researching genealogy, playing horseshoes, bowling, watching western movies, Louis L’Amar novels, outdoor activities, but most of all, he loved spending time with his family and his friends. Jess will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Jess “Charles” Crum and Duane Anderson. Jess is lovingly survived by his wife, Patricia of the home; son, Jason Crum and wife Karla; daughter, Jan Paula Anderson; grandchildren, Memory McElhaney and husband Joe, Dana Caviness and husband Joe, Chastity Baker and husband Kevin, Derek Smith and wife April, Dallas Banks, Noah Anderson and wife Candace, Jadyn Crum, Hayden, Mekko, Wacee, Cady, Michal Beth, Kelcie and Candace; great-grandchildren, Honesty, Danika, Maden, Gus, Lori, Tye, Oliver, Addy, Audrey, Bailey, Eli, Judah, Asher, Archer and Teagan; brother, Kenneth Crum and wife Loretta; sisters, Lorene Tyler and husband Bill and Louise Murphy and husband Clay; extended family and many friends. Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, April 14, 2022, with family receiving friends 5PM-7PM at Clifford D Garrett Family Funeral Home in Fort Gibson. A celebration of JC’s life is scheduled for 1PM Friday, April 15, 2022, at Clifford D Garrett Family Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Gibson with Jason Crum officiating. Committal prayers and interment will follow at South Bethel Cemetery in Braggs with Derek Smith, Maden Smith, Joe Caviness, Dallas Banks, Noah Anderson and Joe McElhaney serving as casket bearers.
