Kathleen Langton, 90, a lifelong resident of Fort Gibson, was born on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 1931, in Fort Gibson to Joe and Agatha (Cooper) Langton and met her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, January 19, 2022, at her home. The highlight of Kathleen’s Sundays was attending Church services at First Baptist Church in Fort Gibson. All other days she looked forward to riding the Senior Citizens bus to the Nutrition Center, where she had numerous friends, she called “her people”. She loved playing bingo there and visiting with the many people she knew. Kathleen definitely was a people person. She loved everyone. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother-in-law, Harold Brannon; and a nephew, Kevin Brannon, whom she called “B”; several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Kathleen is lovingly survived by her brother, J.W. Langton and wife, Jerry of Fort Gibson, OK; her sister, Jo Ann Brannon of Fort Gibson, OK; nieces, Shanna Bandy and husband, David of Coweta, OK; Kim Gingrich and husband, Sean of Fort Gibson, OK; nephew, Doug Brannon and wife, Beth of Fort Gibson, OK; several great nephews, nieces, cousins and many, many close friends and relatives. Viewing for Kathleen will be noon-7PM, Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at Clifford D Garrett Family Funeral Home. A celebration of Kathleen’s life will be held 1PM, Thursday, January 27, 2022, at Clifford D Garrett Family Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Butch Cook officiating. Burial will follow at Citizens Cemetery in Fort Gibson.
