On May 21, 2020, Kathryn Vyetta Reece, 73, left this earthly life to return to her Heavenly Father and find her “log cabin” in the sky. Better known as Kathy, momma, mamaw and grandma by her loving family, Kathy was born in Newport, Arkansas on June 24, 1946 to C.C. & Ruby Brawley. She married her best friend and love of her life, Michael Leroy Reece on September 6, 1985. Kathy has 3 children and 2 bonus children and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Kathy was an avid collector of strawberries, her favorite colors were red and ruby, she loved sewing, bird watching, flowers, gardening, baking her famous chocolate chip cookies and making chocolate gravy for her children and grandchildren. Kathy’s favorite tradition was Christmas Eve cookies and that tradition will forever be carried on by her family. Kathy had a great fashion sense and a love for high heels and purses! Kathy’s “girls”, her puppies, Maci and Princess, could always be found dressed up and by her side. Kathy was a long-time member of Emanuel Pentecostal Church in Braggs and most recently attended Grandview Tabernacle in Muskogee. Kathy is survived by her husband; Michael Reece, two sons; Dean Murphy and wife Julie of Bartlesville, OK; Timmy Murphy and wife Kim of Fort Gibson, OK; one daughter; Tammy Robison and husband Tim of Checotah, OK; stepdaughter; Amy Lynn of Muskogee, OK; stepson; Jason Reece of Muskogee, OK and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Two sisters; Dottie Morris of Muskogee and Terry Clark of Arkansas. Kathy is preceded in death by her parents, C.C. & Ruby Brawley, three brothers; Columbus O’Neal Brawley, Marvin Brawley, & Lloyd Brawley, one sister; Bertha Brannon and grandson; Levi Robison. Kathy’s beautiful eyes and sweet smile will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her. A big thank you to the Fort Gibson Nursing Home for caring for and loving her so much. A Memorial Service will be held Monday, June 8, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. at Grandview Tabernacle in Muskogee, OK with Pastor Terry Tatum officiating.
