Pauline (Taylor) Summerlin

March 26, 1927 - December 22, 2021

Pauline (Taylor) Summerlin, 94, of Fort Gibson, was born March 26, 1927, in Braggs, OK to Leonard and Mary (Langston) Taylor. She peacefully passed away Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at her home. Pauline met and later married Don Summerlin on May 29, 1989. Together, they shared 32 years, six months and 24 days making precious memories. She was a homemaker - the best mother, wife and grandmother whose greatest joy was staying home and raising her family. Pauline loved Jesus and, like her Savior, she was the most forgiving person and never hated anyone. She enjoyed Bluegrass music, so much so that she often demanded to take the travel trailer to enjoy a Bluegrass festival for a few days any chance she could – rain or shine, across any state line. She loved to shop and spend time with her grandkids and family. She loved to be dressed to the nines and never left the house without her hair and makeup perfect. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Pauline is lovingly survived by her husband, Don Summerlin of the home; sons, Robert D. Perry, Sr. of Muskogee and Rick Summerlin and wife Terry of Tulsa; daughters, Linda Milton and her husband Albert of Fort Gibson and Denise (Summerlin) Bauer and husband Donnie of Tulsa; grandchildren, David Holland, Darrel Holland, Chelsea (Crittenden) Lindsey, Ashley (Holland) Dockery, Kevin Perry and Bobby Perry, Jr., Jordyn Jorgenson, Aldyn Jorgenson, Savannah Jorgenson, Sydney Jorgenson, Ringo Knox Jorgenson, Tina Smith and Husband Bryon, and Shari Northrup; special friends, Ralph Thompson, Redmond Keisler, Rick Keisler and Randy Keisler, Lonnie and Virginia Stansifer, extended family and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Jack Perry; six brothers; and two sisters. A visitation will be Sunday, December 26, 2021, with Pauline’s family receiving friends 2PM-5PM at Clifford D Garrett Family Funeral Home in Fort Gibson. A Celebration of Pauline’s life will be held 2PM, Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at Clifford D Garrett Family Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Gibson with her nephew, David Taylor officiating. Committal prayers and interment will follow at Greenleaf Cemetery in Tahlequah with Billy Ray White, Donald Ray Perry, Donnie Bauer, Bill Burleson, Lonnie Stansifer and Jack Davis serving as casket bearers. James Taylor and Ralph Thompson will serve as honorary casket bearers. The family of Pauline Summerlin has entrusted her care, service and burial to Clifford D Garrett Family Funeral Home, Fort Gibson, OK. 918.478.2555.
