Anna L. Armstrong

Anna Lee Armstrong, 85, of Fort Gibson was born December 27, 1934 in Fort Gibson to Austin Berry Torix and Mallie (Cooper) Torix. On Sunday, June 14, 2020 she passed from her earthly home and entered in peace to her everlasting home in Heaven to be with Jesus, her loving husband and countless other loved ones. She married the love of her life, Ralph D. Armstrong on May 25, 1953 in San Diego, California at which time he was serving his country during the Korean War. Anna was a devoted wife and mother. There was absolutely nothing she would not do to help and protect her family and friends. She was a faithful and devoted Christian and a lifelong member of the Fort Gibson First Baptist Church. She taught Sunday School classes and every summer volunteered as a role model and teacher in Bible School. Anna was a very special lady. We will miss her; however, we have our memories of our Momma that truly loved her family and friends beyond measure. She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband; brother, Louie Torix; and sister, Louvina Price. Anna leaves behind to cherish her memory, her son; Clayton Armstrong and his wife Toni; daughter, Tonya Bowden and husband David; grandchildren, Jarrod Armstrong, Kevin Armstrong and his wife Memory, Ryan Bowden and his wife Jennifer, Jillian Cooper and her husband Levi, Amanda Napier, Melissa Renee, Syndi Touchet and her husband Jeff; her loving sister, Josephine Nelson; brother, Skeet Torix and many friends. A graveside service for Anna will be at 12PM (Noon) Thursday, June 18, 2020 at Holland Cemetery in Woodall, OK with Pastor Nate Capps officiating. Jarrod Armstrong, Kevin Armstrong, Ryan Bowden, Levi Cooper, Mike Nelson and Jim Price will serve as casket bearers.
