Anna Lou Summers

Anna Lou Summers, 87, of Muskogee, Oklahoma was born December 27, 1937, to Sam Daniel and Sarah Viola (Taylor) Lane in Muskogee and entered eternal rest Saturday, August 2, 2025. Anna was a vibrant and nurturing spirit who grew up in our town of Muskogee, Oklahoma. Fondly remembered by friends and family, she graduated from Central High School, where her infectious smile and kind heart left a lasting impression. After living in Haskell, Tulsa, and Strang, Oklahoma, she returned to her beloved Muskogee in 2008. As a devoted mother and wife, Anna created a warm and welcoming home, filled with love and laughter, embodying the essence of a true homemaker. She met and married the love of her life, Jimmy Orly Summers, spending 17 years together before his passing on July 1, 2007. She was a talented and creative individual whose passions brought color and warmth to her life and the lives of those around her. Anna found joy in sewing and quilting, skillfully crafting intricate designs that reflected her artistic flair and dedication. Her vibrant paintings added a splash of beauty to her home, showcasing her imaginative spirit. Additionally, Anna's green thumb thrived in her enchanting garden, where she nurtured a delightful array of flowers and plants, creating a serene retreat for family and friends. Her hobbies were not just pastimes; they were expressions of her love and creativity, leaving a lasting imprint on everyone fortunate enough to know her. She is now reunited with her husband, Jimmy Summers; her son, Brad Wisdom; her mother, Sarah Viola (Taylor) Lane; six brothers, Ralph, John, Berril, Roy, Harley, and Bobby; and four sisters, Inez, Wilma, Ellen, and Wanda. Anna is lovingly survived by her daughter, Dawn Arnold and husband Bobby of Muskogee; her grandchildren, Drew Wisdom and wife Nora, Tara Hale and husband Jonathan, Megan Arnold, Calvin Arnold and wife Eryn; great-grandchildren, Jadyn Whitmire, Amiah Wisdom, Charlee Wisdom, and Landry Hale; many nieces and nephews, extended family, and numerous friends. She will be missed by all. Anna’s life will be celebrated 10:00AM, Saturday, August 9, 2025, at Eastern Heights Baptist Church with Pastor James Easley officiating. A private family inurnment will follow at a later date at Greenhill Cemetery.
