Christine 'Chris' Lynn (Birdsall) Craig

Christine Lynn Craig, 58, of De Queen, AR, was born in El Paso, TX on October 29, 1967, to John and Helena (Grissom) Birdsall and passed from this life on Sunday, February 8, 2026, in Broken Bow, OK. Christine affectionately went by “Chris” to the people that knew and loved her. After high school, she furthered her education, ultimately earning her bachelor’s degree. Over the years, she journeyed through Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas, skillfully crafting a home wherever life took her. On June 27, 2021, she married Trenton Craig in Gillham, AR, sharing a loving partnership until her passing. For more than 20 years, Chris channeled her creative spirit into her work as a cake decorator, turning visions into delectable creations. At the time of her passing, she served as the deli and bakery manager at Pruetts, where her passion for artistry and dedication shone through in everything she did. Chris was an extraordinary woman who radiated warmth and love, especially when surrounded by her beloved children and grandchildren. Cherishing her family deeply, she found immense joy in their time spent together, whether it was during fun fishing and camping trips in the great outdoors or sharing her passion for cake decorating, where she brought people's dreams to life with her beautifully crafted creations. A proud owner of a dazzling 1980 C3 Corvette, affectionately dubbed the "Bat Mobile," she and her husband regularly attended car shows, often reveling in their well-deserved victories. With her huge heart, Chris affectionately referred to her cherished animals as her "critters," nurturing them with unconditional love. As an active member of the Corvette Club and various car show clubs, along with a Koa camping membership, she embraced life with enthusiasm. Her green thumb was evident as she rescued plants destined for disposal, lovingly nursing them back to health. Chris truly cared for everyone and everything around her, embodying a heart of gold that touched the lives of all who knew her. She is now reunited with her father, John Birdsall. Christine is lovingly survived by her mother, Helen Kuykendall of Blue Ridge, TX; her daughters, Amanda Manning of Checotah, OK, and Rebecca Birdsall of Checotah, OK; her son, Edward Brown of Checotah, OK; her sisters, Leslie Birdsall of Garland, TX, and Diane Birdsall of Howe, TX; her brothers, Kenneth Birdsall of Sherman, TX, and John Birdsall of Dallas, TX; her husband, Trent Craig of Dequeen, AR; her grandchildren, Lexi Standridge, Braiden Tovar, Jaycie Warrior, Kamil Warrior, Kaniah Warrior, Jaya Warrior, Jerry Stretch, and Anastasia Fitzpatrick all of Checotah, OK; and her two son in laws, Michael Fitzpatrick of Checotah, OK, and James Warrior of Checotah, OK, extended family and many friends. She will be missed by all. Services for Mrs. Craig are pending at this time.
