D. Diane White

Darla Diane White, 66, was born December 31, 1957, in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, the daughter of Clara Nana Bell and Donald H. Underwood, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2024, at her home in Park Hill with family by her side. On January 27, 1997, she married the love of her life, Billy G. White, in Montego Bay, beginning a cherished journey together. Diane was a dedicated entrepreneur, owning and operating Payday Check Cashers before retiring. Her business was a reflection of her hardworking spirit and commitment to serving her community. Throughout her life, Diane called many places home, including Fort Bragg, North Carolina; Keys, Oklahoma; and Park Hill, Oklahoma, where she built lasting relationships and made lifelong memories. Creativity was at the heart of Diane’s life. She was an accomplished artist, finding joy in drawing, painting, and expressing herself through art. She also had a deep love for photography, using her camera to capture the beauty she saw in the world. In addition to her artistic talents, Diane enjoyed singing, filling her home and gatherings with music that brought happiness to all who heard her. Diane’s kindness, artistic spirit, and vibrant personality will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, creativity, and cherished memories that will continue to inspire those she touched. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Billy G. White; brother, Donald H. Underwood, Jr.; and sister, Sheryl K. Dykes. Diane is survived by her sons, Jerome Bruce Masters of Sapulpa, OK, Christopher Michael Underwood of Shawnee, OK, and Justin Calvin Shields of Shawano, Wisconsin; daughter, Randi Rachelle Sheilds of Tahlequah, OK; sisters, Deborah A. Underwood Watts and husband Steve of Sand Springs, OK, April Brown of Pauls Valley, OK, and Kathy LaDonna Underwood-Fout of Bristow, OK; brothers, Larry D. Underwood and wife Linda of Broken Bow, OK, and Jake Underwood of Broken Bow, OK; stepmother, Mary Underwood of Elmore City, OK; eighteen grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A celebration of Diane’s life will be 12:30PM, Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at Clifford D Garrett Family Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Gibson. Committal prayers and inurnment will follow at Fort Gibson National Cemetery in Fort Gibson, Oklahoma.
