Donald Ray Phillips, 35, of Fort Gibson, OK was born August 1, 1989, in Tahlequah, OK to Donnie Gene and Patricia (Ellis) Phillips and passed from this life on March 5, 2025, in Tahlequah, OK. Donald was employed as a pump truck operator in concrete construction at the time of his passing. He had many passions, but the most important thing to Donald was his family. He always made sure to take care of his family no matter what. Donald was a good friend and would do anything for the people he loved. He enjoyed going to the no-no, which was the casino, and he was always ready for a good drink. It is 5 o’clock somewhere, right? Donald loved to play games, including Nards and Fire N-Da Hole. He enjoyed camping with his friends and family and cooking out. Donald’s most favorite holiday was Halloween. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, loyalty, and unconditional love. He will be missed by all. Donald is survived by his wife, Amanda Onstot; bonus daughter, Mariah; brothers, Chuck Jones and wife Melissa, Tom Jones and wife Jamie, Bryan (Birdman) Johnson, and J.J. Samples; sisters, Michelle and husband Billy Hibbert, and Krisshell and husband Daniel Henson; nephews, Wesley Jones and wife Jenni, Thomas Jones and wife Emma, Zachary Sawyer, James Jones, and Billy III Hibbert; nieces, Katherine Inez Jones and Jake Stark, Haley Dallis and husband Jonothan, and Lucinda Hibbert; grand-nephews, Jaden Owens, Langston Jones, J.J. Jr. Samples, Joseph Samples, and Atticus Henson; grand-nieces, Loretta Dallis, Sophia Dallis, Laynee Jones, Lexi Samples, Carley Samples, Aliaya Henson, Lyla Henson; his God-parents, Terry (Punkin) and Cindy Samples; and many more people because he was so amazing. He was preceded in death by his parents, Patricia Leann Phillips, Donnie Gene Phillips, Sr.; and family members, Donnie Gene Phillips, Jr., Amanda Phillips, Nick Daughtery, James (Jimbo) Thompson; and aunt, Judy Johnson. Viewing will be held 12PM - 7PM with the family receiving friends from 5PM - 7PM Thursday, March 13, 2025, at Clifford D Garrett Family Funeral Home in Fort Gibson. Donald’s life will be celebrated at 1PM Friday, March 14, 2025, at Community Gospel Center in Fort Gibson with Pastor Logan Lambert officiating and his brother, Chuck Jones, eulogizing. Committal prayers and interment will follow at Citizens Cemetery with Tom Jones, Bryan (Birdman) Johnson, Wesley Jones, James (Bugga) Jones, Thomas Jones, Terry (Punkin) Samples, J.J. Samples, and Zachary Sawyer serving as casket bearers. Jermery Woodstock, Billy Hibbert, C.J. Reynolds, Chandler Wing, Erie, Ripka, and Bozzy (James) Boswell serving as honorary casket bearers.
