Gary Marcus Huff

Gary Marcus Huff, 77, a longtime resident of Oktaha, OK, was born on December 3, 1948, in Okmulgee, Oklahoma to Archie Gene and Billie Ruth (Woods) Huff and peacefully passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2026, in Catoosa, Oklahoma. Gary proudly served his country in the United States Army. He enlisted on January 18, 1967, in Houston, Texas, and faithfully served for three years before receiving an honorable discharge on January 16, 1970, at Fort Carson, Colorado. His military service was a source of pride throughout his life. He met and later married the love of his life, Susan Cason, on December 9, 1966 in Muskogee, OK. Together they built a life centered on love and commitment. Their marriage stood the test of time, lasting 45 years before Susan’s passing in February of 2012. The years they shared together were among Gary’s greatest treasures. Gary pursued a career as a machinist with All State Fabricators, where his skill and work ethic earned him a promotion to Shop Foreman. Throughout his career, he accomplished many things and took pride in the work he did. He was dedicated to his job and known as a hard worker. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially fishing for bass and crappie and hunting deer and rabbit. He also took pride in raising beagles. Above all, Gary’s family was the center of his life. He cherished every moment spent with his loved ones and held close the many memories they shared together. Gary is now reunited with his wife of 45 years, Susan Cason Huff; his grandson, Noah Huff; and his great granddaughter, Darcy Meeks. He is survived by his daughter, Crystal Thomas and husband Paul of Muskogee, OK; his sons, Mark Huff and wife Erin of Claremore, OK, and Brant Huff and wife Cheryl of Hardeeville, South Carolina; 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren, extended family and many friends. He will be missed by all. A visitation will be held June 9, 2026, with family receiving friends from 5PM - 7PM. A viewing will be 10AM - 5PM, June 10, 2026, both at Clifford D Garrett Family Funeral Home in Muskogee. A celebration of Gary's life is 1PM, June 12, 2026, at Clifford D Garrett Family Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel in Muskogee with Reverend Bud Shackelford officiating. Interment and committal prayers will follow at Oktaha Cemetery in Oktaha, OK, with Marcus Huff, Jeremy Garrett, Jeffrey Garrett, Geoff Thomas, Dustin Meeks, and Paul Thomas serving as casket bearers.
