Joanne Roberts

Joanne was born on November 6, 1947 to Euel and Loyce (Rhyne) Bradley. She was the middle child of three. Joanne attended schools in Muskogee and Okay then graduated from Fort Gibson in 1966. She married her high school sweetheart, Ronnie Gilliam, during her senior year. They welcomed their only child, Jennifer Lee, to the family in 1972. Joanne enjoyed playing music and singing. She had a passion for horse-racing, just like her daddy. Joanne accepted Christ at a young age through the guidance of her Christian mother. She enjoyed playing the piano in church. Joanne worked hard every day of her life. She was employed with Leake TV Station and Fort Howard for many years. Later in her life, she worked as a paralegal, then attended Virgil’s Beauty School and pursued her lifelong dream of becoming a hairstylist. She had many good years with her second husband, traveling and living on Lake Eufaula, until problems with her health. She spent her final time on earth looking forward to being with family and watching her grandson’s football and baseball games. Her favorite cheer was “If you want to win, put Brody in”! Joanne was preceded in death by her precious parents, Euel and Loyce Bradley; her brother and sister-in-law, James and Betty Bradley; and uncles (who were more like brothers) Jimmy and Johnny Bradley. She passed away on Aug 14, 2021, and leaves behind her daughter and son-in-law; Jennifer and Kevin Rainbolt, beloved grandson; Brody Rainbolt; sister and brother-in-law Janice and Avery Snyder; nieces and nephews, Sheri and husband Jim Richards, Dennis Bradley, Billy and wife Nikki Randall, and Kim and husband Scott Hyslope and extended family and many friends. Some of Joanne’s favorite young men, who know her as “Mimi”, will be serving as casket bearers, including her favorite athlete, grandson Brody Rainbolt, Kolton Berry, Trey Forrest, Connor Loepp, Colin Martin, Jaxon Perdue. Johnny Ray Bradley and Mike Bradley will serve as honorary casket bearers. Viewing will be noon-7PM, Tuesday, August 17, 2021, at Clifford D Garrett Family Funeral Home in Fort Gibson with family receiving friends 5PM-7PM. Services celebrating Joanne’s life are 1:00 PM Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at Clifford D Garrett Family Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Gibson with Reverend Jason Snyder officiating. Committal prayers and interment will follow at Citizens Cemetery.
