Keryn Joyce Walker-Patterson

On January 23, 2016 Keryn Joyce Walker-Patterson joined her family in Heaven. She was just 51 years young. Keryn was born to Margie and Owen Walker Jr. on December 14, 1964. Later in life she was blessed enough to have a step-father, Floyd, that loved her as his own. She was a loving soul. She loved her daughter and granddaughters very much. Kristy was the light of Keryn's life. The twinkle in her eyes and smile on her face would say it all when Kristy would come around. Keryn would turn into a child herself when she was with her granddaughters, from doing cartwheels to playing in the rain. She loved hanging out with her best friends Dearl and Pokey. They were friends for many years and called themselves the Three Musketeers. Together they enjoyed life together no matter what they were doing. Keryn enjoyed making jokes with her son-in-law, Tony. The two would laugh, cut up and get one another riled up. When Keryn was young she enjoyed hearing her dad and uncle Gary play the guitar and sing. She loved being around water, whether it was a pond, lake or river. She loved to sit and listen to the river flow and fish. Keryn liked to shop Avon, hang out with family and friends talk about the "good ole days". She had a smile that would light up a room, a laugh that was contagious, and was a beautiful woman inside and out. Keryn will be missed so deeply but we know she's dancin' in the skies with her loved ones to the sound of guitars played by her Daddy, Uncle Gary, and brother-in-law, Dee. Keryn is survived by daughter, Kristy Foster, husband Tony; step-daughter Jessi Patterson; granddaughters, Brittany Foster, Ciarra Lanning, Ashlyne and Adrieanna Morris, Kassidy, Anistyn and Serenity; great-granddaughter, Koda; Sisters Rachel Miller, husband Milton, Vickie Walker, husband Joe, Shelly Knox, Sue Grannon; Brothers Kevin Walker, wife Melissa, Dana and Dawayne Ward; Nieces Amanda Guyer, husband David, Starla Pugh, husband Aaron, Desiree MIller, Jennifer Walker, Shawna Roberts, husband Matthew, Kenna Walker; Nephews David Ray Ward, wife Jeri; Curtis and Kyle Walker, Jack and Kasey Knox, Leslie Vance, Konner and Kaden Walker, Roger; Aunts Linda Battenfield, Audrey Booth, Brenda & Brenda Walker (and no this is not a typo - don't erase me); many great-nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Keryn is preceded in death by her mother and step-father, Margie and Floyd Ward; father, Owen Walker; brothers, David and Allen Ward; brother-in-law, Dee Knox; grandson, Jessoph Morris; niece, Tiffany Walker; great-nieces, Skylar and Isabella Pugh, Katawna Knox; great-nephew, Ayden Pugh; many aunts, uncles, and cousins. A memorial service celebrating Keryn’s life will be held 1:00PM Saturday, February 6, 2016 in the Valley View Full Gospel Church in Fort Gibson with Pastor Don Rhyne officiating.
