Mary Frances 'Fran' (Roop) Colley, 84, of Fort Gibson, Oklahoma was born December 18, 1941, in Salem, Virginia to Creed Frazier and Ruby Katherine (Nichols) Roop and passed away Sunday, April 26, 2026, in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Fran was a spirited and adventurous woman, a true free soul who embraced life with curiosity and a fiery personality. She loved to travel, forming lasting friendships across the states, and she never met a stranger. Always eager to try new things, she found joy in both simple moments and grand adventures, especially those spent on the road with the love of her life, Tommy, exploring new places in their RV. Fran loved deeply and gave generously to those around her, touching many lives. Her greatest pride and joy was being a mother to her son and daughter, finding true passion in raising her children. Fran was a devoted member of St. Joseph’s Church and an active participant in the Elk’s Lodge, where she built many meaningful connections. She was a loyal supporter of the Paralyzed Veterans of America, always giving with a generous heart. Above all, Fran deeply loved and cherished her family, holding them close and making them the center of her life. She will be missed always and remembered forever. Fran is now reunited with her husband of 43 years, Thomas Colley; her sisters, Esther Williams, Shirley Argenbright, Betty Ware, and Judy Khan; and her brothers, Roger “Butch” Roop and Jimmy Roop. She is lovingly survived by her son, Thomas Mark Colley and wife Marcy Colley Arnett of Fort Gibson, OK; her daughter, Frances Dawn Ezell Colley of Fort Gibson, OK; her grandchildren, Dalton Colley, Daylon Colley, and Darrah Colley; her great-grandchildren, Traeger and Fisher; her sister, Mary Ginger T. Rucker (the only living child of 8); extended family and many friends. Fran's life will be celebrated 1:30PM, Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at Clifford D Garrett Family Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Gibson with Robert Points officiating. Inurnment will follow at Fort Gibson National Cemetery.
