Rock F. Dobson

Rochelle ‘Rock’ F. Dobson, 71, of Stilwell was born October 30, 1952 in Muskogee, OK to Ronald and Phyllis (West) Dobson and peacefully passed away Sunday, March 10, 2024 with his loving wife, Connie by his side. Rock attended school in Muskogee where he graduated and continued his education at Connors State College. He lived many years in Fort Gibson where he was a Fireman and First Responder, a roll he loved. Rock spent his career with Acme Engineering in Muskogee and retired after 35 years of service. Rock enjoyed running. He ran both the New York and Tulsa Marathons. His true passion in life was loving and spending time with his family and helping people. He was a true public servant. Rock was preceded in death by his son, Shane Dobson; mom, Phyllis Dobson; brother, Ronnie Dobson; and step-dad, Alan Lambert. Those left to cherish Rock’s memory are his wife, Connie of the home; dad, Ronald Dobson; sisters, Bonny Parkhurst and husband, Dustin; Dolly Dobson and Tony; brother, Kirk Dobson and wife Kathy; sister-in-law, Rita Dobson; his kids, Christi Muck, Brian Muck and wife Crystal, James Ashby, Crystal Otten and husband Jerry, Tanya Wilson, Kacy Reynolds, Lacy Patterson and husband, Coleman; aunts and uncles, Pat and Dale Reynolds, and Buddy and Vicki Roberts; step-mom, Dianna Lambert; special family, Ronnie and Karen Atchley, Kandance Lane, and Brad and Sharla Atchley, Mary and John Vance, Russell and Claudia Byfield, Brenda and Charlie Trantham, and Jimmy and Theresa Byfield; 17 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; extended family and many friends. Rock’s family would like to give a special thank you to the Stilwell Nursing Home for the care, love and compassion they gave them. A visitation is scheduled for Monday, March 18, 2024 at Clifford D Garrett Family Funeral Home in Fort Gibson with Rock’s family receiving friends 5PM-7PM. A celebration of Rock’s life will be 2PM Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at the Three Rivers Cemetery Pavilion in Okay with Chaplain Terry Wofford officiating.
