Sue Ann Bishop

Sue Ann Bishop, 63, of Fort Gibson, was born October 25, 1959 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to James Clyde and Oma Lavern (Scarlett) Jenkins, Sr. and peacefully passed away Tuesday, June 13, 2023, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma with her loving family at her bedside. She received her education and graduated from Muskogee Public Schools in 1977. On October 21, 1989, she married her best friend, Keith Bishop, in Fort Gibson, Oklahoma and shared more than 33 years making precious memories together. She worked in the accounting field in various capacities retiring after 13 years from Refresco/Whitlock Packaging Corporation and several years with Clothier & Company CPA’s. She enjoyed many activities but especially loved spending time with her family and friends. She was extremely devoted to her family, and had unconditional love as a wife and mom. Sue Ann was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Muskogee. She was loved dearly and will be missed by many. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Clyde and Lavern Jenkins, Sr. and her brother, James Clyde Jenkins, Jr. Sue Ann was also predeceased by her mother-in-law, Marie Bishop, brother-in-law, Marion Bishop, and nephew, Jeremy John Jenkins. Those left to cherish Sue Ann’s memories are her devoted husband, Keith, of the home; daughter, Kristen and granddaughter, Blaziah, of Muskogee, her nephew, Jason Sean Jenkins of the home and his son, Jaxon Faulconer and fiancé Journey and their two children Emalyn and Conley all of Muskogee. Sue Ann is also survived by her brother, Jerry Jenkins and his wife Judy of Tulsa, his sons, Jeremy Scott, his wife Caitlin along with Talyn and Jett, Joshua Wyatt, his wife Christie along with Aden and Camden. Sister and brother-in-law, Renee Bishop and Larry Hoover of Sunrise Beach, Missouri, her daughter Julie and her husband, Mark along with their children of Warrensburg, Missouri, her sister-in-law, Michaela Bishop of Norman, Oklahoma and her son, Kyle and his wife Jessica Bishop of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Sue Ann is also survived by her bonus daughter, Alyssa Shoemake, her fiancé Cody Smith and special friend, Ginny Shoemake, extended family and countless friends. A visitation will be Thursday, June 15, 2023 at Clifford D Garrett Family Funeral Home at 1020 West Okmulgee, Muskogee, Oklahoma with family present from 5PM to 7PM. A celebration of Sue Ann’s life will be 2PM, Friday, June 16, 2023 at Clifford D Garrett Family Funeral Home Chapel in Muskogee with Pastor Russell Pratt officiating. Committal prayers and interment will follow at Greenhill Cemetery with Jason Jenkins, Jaxon Faulconer, Kyle Bishop, Cody Smith, Scott Yandell and Steve Radanovich serving as casket bearers. Jerry Jenkins, Jeremy Jenkins, Josh Jenkins, Larry Hoover, and Bo Sanders will serve as honorary casket bearers.
