Terese "Teri" Marie Tebbutt

Terese ‘Teri’ Marie Tebbutt, 58, of Fort Gibson was born September 10, 1961 in Long Beach, CA to Matthew and Diana (Forsythe) Lindsey and peacefully passed away on Friday, June 5, 2020 in Tulsa, OK. Teri grew up in Paramount, California where she attended school. She met, fell in love with, and later married her best friend, Mikel Tebbutt on February 4, 1983 in Long Beach. They made Long Beach their home for 34 years and called Fort Gibson home for the last three years. Not only did she live for the joy of raising her own 3 children, she had plenty left over to bless the families and children of her church. She served her church for 26 years in the nursery and preschool. She later continued her education with a certification in Early Childhood Education. After moving to Fort Gibson, OK., she took a position at 4 Mile Stop & Café as a cook. She was a friend to everyone and loved to serve others. She worked tirelessly at everything she did. Teri loved spending time with her 4 grandkids who called her “Mommer and Peach”. She was a crafter and loved the holidays. Friends and family meant the entire world. She loved joking around with people, just to get a smile and comfort them. She was an avid gardener, black and white movie junkie, and loved Rock’n’Roll. Teri loved orange slices and Swedish fish were her favorite. She could eat potatoes in any form and loved crunching ice cubes. She was a servant of God and loved every minute of it. She was completely selfless to the very end. Teri is preceded in death by her mother Diana Lindsey. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Mikel of the home; daughter, Lindsey Stern and husband Larry of Fort Gibson, OK; son, Noah Tebbutt and wife Ashley of Long Beach, CA; daughter, Cori Kimminau and husband Brandon of San Antonio, TX; her father, Matthew Lindsey of Des Moines, IA; Aunt, Sheila Hernandez of Los Alamitos, CA; granddaughter, Brooklynn Stern of Fort Gibson, OK; grandsons, Lane, Landon and Levi Stern all of Fort Gibson, OK; sister, Peri Halma and husband John of Des Moines, IA; along with her nephews, Dustin Halma of Des Moines, IA, Daniel Halma of Kansas City, KS, Mark Halma of Denver, CO, mother in law Phyllis Tebbutt of Cerritos, CA; sister in law, Tori Tebbutt of Corona, CA; nephew, Andy Lane of Corona, CA; niece, Alysa Mugica of Corona, CA; and many friends. In lieu of flowers the family request donations in Teri's name to Emmanuel Reformed Church in Paramount, California or to the family. A family service celebrating Teri’s life is scheduled for 11AM Thursday, June 11, 2020 at the Clifford D Garrett Family Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Gibson. Friends are invited to attend the committal prayers and interment at 12:30 Thursday, at Citizens Cemetery in Fort Gibson, OK with Dustin, Daniel, and Mark Halma, along with Larry Stern, Brandon Kimminau, and Mikel Tebbutt serving as casket bearers.
