Wilbert Earnest Readdy

Wilbert Earnest Readdy, 80, of Fort Gibson, was born February 28, 1942, the son of Vernon and Lavola C. (Moody) Readdy and passed with his family by his side on Thursday, June 16, 2022, in Muskogee, OK. Wilbert finished his education as a senior at Central High School in Muskogee and joined the Army National Guard in 1967. Wilbert met, fell in love with and later married his best friend, Saundra K. Maher on March 17, 1980, in Muskogee. A marriage that stood the test of time for 42 years. He lived in Muskogee for 49 years and in Fort Gibson for 31 years. Wilbert owned and operated End-a-Pest Pest Control and retired in 2015 after 17 years in business. Wilbert was a member of the First Baptist Church in Fort Gibson. He was an avid bass fisherman and loved deer hunting. Wilbert is survived by his wife, Saundra K. (Maher) Readdy of Fort Gibson; daughter, Lisa M. (Readdy) and husband, Bob Ibrik of Broken Arrow; stepsons, Ronnie D. Bias of Shawnee and Brian K. Bias of Fort Gibson; grandchildren, Zach J. Ibrik and wife, Lley of Broken Arrow, Alexis Robinson and husband, Kyle of Broken Arrow, Stephen Bias, wife Caitlyn and family, Whitney (Bias) Durrossette and husband, Kevin and Brooklin Bias; great-grandchildren, Dakodah Bias, Eston Durrossette, Ava Bias and Hunter Ibrik; sister, Barbara Pingleton of New Mexico; and brother-in-law, Paul L. Maher of Muskogee. He was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon and Lavola C. (Moody) Readdy; stepfather, Leonard E. Turley; brothers, Larry Readdy and Vernon Readdy, Jr. A visitation with family receiving friends will be held 5PM-7PM Monday, June 20, 2022, at Clifford D Garrett Family Funeral Home in Fort Gibson. A Celebration of Life for Wilbert Earnest Readdy will be held 1PM Tuesday, June 21, 2022, at First Baptist Church in Fort Gibson with Rev. Don Blankenship officiating. Bob Ibrik, Zach Ibrik, Jimmy Readdy, Stephen Bias, Brian Bias and Kevin Durrossette will serve as casket bearers.
