William George Wickham

William George Wickham, born on August 25, 1932, in Skiatook, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on December 8, 2024, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 92. William was the first-born son of William and Mary Wickham. He attended school at Prairie Grove School and Collinsville and proudly served in the US Navy. William excelled as an industrial salesman for most of his career before operating his own tractor service until retirement. Throughout his life, William shared his journey with 1st wife, Gloretta, with whom he had two children: William, Jr. and Denise. Later, he married Dolores and welcomed two more children: Karen and Christine. He married his sweetheart, Marilyn in 1983 through which he gained two stepchildren: Kent and Kristi. William’s family grew to include seven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren who brought him immense joy. An avid outdoorsman at heart, William found peace and happiness in nature. He had a deep passion for boating, fishing, camping, hunting and gardening—a love that he shared with those closest to him. William was preceded to heaven by his parents, infant sister, Tharesa Sue, brother, Bobby Wickham, daughter, Denise Wyckoff, and son-in-law, Raymond Douglas. He is survived by his loving wife, Marilyn Campbell Wickham, children, William Wickham, Jr., Karen Douglas & Scott Fuller, Christine & Terry Nixon, Kent & Julie Shafto, Kristi Kuetemeier & Gary Miller, grandchildren, Kevin & Heidi Sink, Kelli Sutton, Lauren and Jason Johns, Michael & Morgan Douglas, Nicole & George Martinez, Kalyn Nixon, Michael Kuetemeier and 14 great-grandchildren, siblings, Edward Wickham, Donna & Steve Savage, Kenneth & Diana Wickham, Clifford & Patricia Wickham, Michael & Lori Wickham and numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held on Jan. 17th at 11:00 a.m. at Memorial Baptist Church, 28th & Yale with Interment at Fort Gibson National Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to American Heart Association. William will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
